I like Chicago so much I go there in the winter. Yes in the winter!! This is the best time to go to the many museums in the city. The "Art Instute of Chicago" was so great I went a second day. The Sheraton is located in the middle ALL the places I like so it was only a max $* cab fare to wherever I wanted to go. Even "Rush Street". Oh and yes the price was right via travel website.

The Hotel was great. Very clean, and always smelled great. Chi Bar was closed (seasonal) which was a downer because it was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there. The other hotel bar (Java Lounge) was pretty pricey. Luckily we found an Irish bar right next to the hotel along the riverwalk called Lizzy Mc'neills. SOOO much cheaper and a great atmosphere. Theres also shulas in the hotel but expensive as usual. There is also a small breakfast lounge which was great as well as a restaurant next to it which both are on the lower level of the hotel. Another downfall was that you had to pay if you wanted to use the gym which I think was dumb. Close to pretty much anything. Michigan Ave was a block away. Walgreens and 7-11 were close by to get snacks and drinks. Millenium park was a couple blocks south. Views were great especially at night when the city lights up. All in all the place was pretty damn good for the price and everyone was really friendly and helpful.

Overall a very nice hotel. It's in a terrific location. The staff was pleasant. The rooms were fine. The pool had a spectacular view. There were only two problems. There are far too few elevators to serve the upper floors at peak times. We had to wait 30 min for an elevator! Every floor was packed with people unable to get onto the full elevators. The other problem is with the valet parking. It is poorly managed at peak times. The valets would park the cars three abreast, so cars behind those in front would be unable to go around in order to exit the garage. It led to a situation where there we 3 SUVs stretched across the front row attempting to load many bags and many people, whilst there were a dozen cars lined up behind them ready to go, but unable to get around them. Considering the high cost of parking at this hotel, they should make an attempt to make it as smooth as possible to exit.
