The Royal Orchid Sheraton is a very pleasant place to stay. The views from the rooms are great. There is not much to do near the hotel, you need to use their free boat to the BTS station to go to town. The room was clean and comfortable. Food was good and the variety was great. It's a shame that there's no free wifi in the rooms. The pool looked very nice but there was nowhere shady to sit so we didn't use it. Check in and check out were very slow - the hotel was very busy at the time but the wait, especially for check in was excessive.

The hotel was fantastic with good sized rooms and bathroom with all the needed facilities, bath, shower etc. The choice in two different pools was a treat, and much needed after a long day of sightseeing... The cocktails helped as well! Overall I had a lovely experience at the Sheraton and would recommend it to anyone. The only negative point is that it was a little out from the central attractions, however, taxis are so cheap that it didn't really matter!

Lovely hotel , good location, a great room with river view and the staff were friendly and very attentive. Good tour desk. Internet on 1st floor - also in room for a fee. BUT they had a problem with the plumbing over a couple of days. Bathroom hot tap ran rusty brown water - apparently they were doing plumbing repairs. Then next day there was a very bad "drain" smell in the bathroom. They did reclean and spray the room and bathroom while we were out. Both breakfast and evening buffet very good value.
