After traveling around southern Thailand, it was such a treat to end my trip by staying at the Shangri-La hotel. The staff was attentive, and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. You also get your own butler! Check-in was a breeze. The services by the pool was amazing. The view from our room of the river was spectacular. The hotel is located near a subway system, so you can enjoy Bangkok to it's fullest. I would absolutely return to the Shangri-La hotel.

The riverside bar is fabulous, and the food in their cafe is good. Love the swimming pool and spa is great too. Room faces Chao Phraya river which is very beautiful daytime. Love the people as they are all so helpful and warm. Indeed a Shangri-la in Thailand.

A truly superior hotel located alongside the Chao Prayha river. Our room was luxuriously furnished, very clean and had a spectacular view of the river. Very relaxing outdoor pool with garden surroundings. Clean and well-equipped health club. Excellent location less than 5 minutes from sky train station and water taxi station. Many high quality Asian antiques shops in surrounding area. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

I stayed here in April. The service was excellent. One reason we stayed here was for the skytrain location, however we only used it once -the taxi's are so cheap - u can get anywhere in the city for 1 - 2 dollars. Also, the hotel has a ""limo"" service (just a mercedes) for 20 dollars an hour. The pool area is very relaxing The Jets plays there 5 nights a week - they busted out with Jack Johnson one night! Two of my friends stayed in the Horizon Club - their room included a small living room, and a free breakfast buffet.
