The hotel is a little dated but clean and worth every penny. The rooms were clean and the staff helpfull. Next time i would go and upgrade to the newly decorated rooms. If you are going to Vegas and need a clean place to stay the Imperial Palace is the way to go.

Me and my bro stayed here for his 21st birthday,so as you can imagine we were in Vegas to PARTY like half of the people in Sin City! Was gonna stay somewhere nicer(and more expensive!)but figured since we only planned to sleep and shower in our rooms, might as well save that money for somethin else(alchohol, lap dances, bail money etc. Lol) And save we did! When you factor in that there is no big resort fee like some nicer hotels, its central location so alot of places are walkin distance or very short cab or bus ride,we probably saved at least 300-400$ by stayin here!Like i said its right in the middle of everything,Ceasars is right Across the street and we walked to most clubs we went to while there. This place also has two of my favorite on site restsraunt/bars of any hotel! Fat Tuesdays is a must whenever i get to Vegas i look for one so i was happily surprised to see one by the elevators on the way up to our room..this place ALWAYS has the friendliest staff and the drinks are the best bang for your buck on the strip(try the high octane and mango!) Also Hash House a GoGo upstairs is probably the best and biggest breakfast place ive been to in Vegas! The Chicken and Waffles are amaazing, and me and my bro split one togetger and were still STUFFED! So split whatever you get, portion sizes are HUGE and you will save some money! Only downside is its not the fanciest or most updated/new hotel..but overall i really like this hotel for the money you absolutely cant beat it on the strip! So if you dont have a ton of money and dont plan on spendin aloot of time in your hotel..do not pass up Imperial Palace!

  • center-Strip, no-frills, good value

This is a good place to stay if you are budget-conscious, concerned about being in the center of the Strip, and just want a basic, no-frills room. I also really like the fact that the complex is very small and easy to navigate. It takes 30 seconds to cross the casino floor, and the path to the hotel room elevators is well-marked - unlike almost all of the newer casino megaplexes that work extremely hard at getting you lost. If you are traveling for business, as I was, this is very helpful - you want to be able to get in and out of your hotel room quickly, get reasonably priced food quickly, and just have a no-nonsense experience. The staff were all very helpful and nice, and I had the fastest, and largest, breakfast I think I've had anywhere, at the Hash House A Go Go right onsite. (If you are really on a food budget, there's a Subway and taco joint right next door for a super-quick and cheap bite.) I also had dinner at the onsite steakhouse Embers, and while it won't win any Michelin stars, it was just fine for a slightly more upscale yet fast-service experience, and the waiter was really terrific in accommodating my party's needs in every way. I did hear from someone else that this can be a bit of a "Frat Boy" destination depending on the time of year, but that was not my experience on this trip - my hotel room was quiet, and my trip was (in a very good way) uneventful. Also, I gather the smoking floors are where the parties are really at, so if you make sure to avoid those you should be in good shape (unless of course you want to party - in which case, that's where to go!). Also, checkout and bellhop bag retrieval was lightning-fast (although I did see a giant line for checkin the day before, so maybe I just got lucky).

We stayed at The Imperial Palace once before and we came back. For the off peak rate we got, it was a real value. Comfortable and quiet. About the only facility I would have liked if they had it was a 24 hr. coffee shop. I really don't understand why major strip property like The Imperial Palace wouldn't have one.
