Went on a three day vacation and the hotel was outdated. The rug was hideous and old so were the elevators. The smoke and crowd was too much. Good location for walking places though. Ok for a one night party weekend or something but that's about it. I would not stay there again.

The hotel is behind another establishment, necessitating crossing a busy sidewalk, if driving, to enter or leave. There is no place to park in order to check in, only parking for cabs. We were asked to park around the corner or in the parking garage before we checked in. Check-in wait was long due to not enough clerks, who were not rude but also not helpful. The parking garage was patrolled by a guard on bike. It was a long walk from the garage to the room elevators, part of which is outdoors. We saw two couples roaming the garage in search of their vehicles. The price was a value for a hotel on the Vegas strip. We had the basic room, which included two double beds. One of the matresses sagged, causing us to roll to the center. Both beds were uncomfortably hard. The room itself was spartan, with an old, very small tv with a fuzzy picture and only a few basic cable channels. The finish was peeling off the bathroom countertop. Worst of all, however, was that the worn carpet was so dirty, stepping onto a wet bathroom floor left muddy footprints! Despite being by the elevator and ice machines, we were never bothered by noise. The room darkened quite nicely when the drapes were pulled. The air conditioning cooled well. The cleaning staff were helpful and efficient. Ammenities at other hotels that are almost universally included in the price were extra fees at the Imperial Palace. Internet access was $* a day, and the gym was $*. We have stayed elsewhere in Las Vegas that were good values and much more accomodating.
