I came during a long crowded weekend. My room was on the 16th floor. Water pressure to sinks and showers were low and the tub was not clean well. I got the room at very low price just to have a place lay down and take a shower. It did half that.

Imperial palace offers cheap rates and an excellent location. In Las Vegas you really just need a place to shower and sleep and this provided that! It was just what I wanted. No frills, just your average Motel 8 type room. The place is large and the cheaper rooms are far away - but walking is no big deal to me. This was way worth it to save some money to spend on other things. No issues while I was there.

Imperial Palace is a good choice for a cheap place to crash if you're in Vegas to party. I got there on a Friday evening when the check in line was insane. I ended up getting upgraded to a mini suite on the 18th floor which was actually really nice (2 flat screens, but no fridge or anything). Great view of Caesars. Way cleaner than I expected after reading reviews. My room was also clean smelling. Some of the other floors did not smell good. My friends had a room on one such floor which was pretty cramped and dated but not the worst I've seen either. My interactions with the staff were pleasant and the location can't be beat for the price. One minor annoyance is taxi service at the IP is not as well organized as other strip hotels.

We stayed 3 nights at this place and overall it was pretty good. The room we got was a smoking room though we had asked for a non-smoking one. Other than that it was not that bad.. the hotel is located almost near the center of the strip which is a huge advantage..
