The Imperial Palace is not a 5 star resort, but it is the most conveniently located hotel on the strip and we got the most value for money spent. Room was clean, bed comfortable and staff most agreeable. I have stayed here many times and recommend it to my budget-concious friends.

There were some unfortunate events during my stay at the Imperial Palace, however, security and the hotel staff did a wonderful job of listening and taking care of what needed to be done. The room was great. I'm a non-smoker and when they say it's a non smoking room I guess you can take that to the bank. No smell of smoke in that room at all. Doors, locks, and lamps all functional. TV and remote up to date and functional too. Beds were comfortable and the HVAC system worked perfectly. Convenient to my business on the Strip and priced better than anything else I could find. I would certainly stay here again. Thanks Tony and Keith, your professionalism and assistance are above and beyond simple necessity.

This review needs to be prefaced by saying the the IP is nothing close to fancy... at all. However, I booked the room and then started reading reviews, which was a terrible idea. As with other reviews you may have read, I was expecting the dingiest, most unfriendly, and horrendous stay imaginable. Happily, I can say my experience was nothing close to this. I checked-in around 1pm on Monday, and waited maybe three minutes before a clerk was available. IP uses a single line that opens to all the available clerks (like a Wendy's or a bank), which is so much easier to deal with than every clerk having a separate line. So, Check-in is less than five minutes and I have my key (which, unfortunately they same style card they use for their player rewards card, making the two cards easy to confuse for one another, a minor inconvenience) and now have to make my way to the room. Another fear of mine after reading other reviews was that I was going to be wandering the casino floor with my bags for 30 minutes trying to find the right elevator. This isn't the case at all. I'd say, if you stop for 45 seconds and actually read the signs pointing you to which elevators are for which towers, you'll have no problem. These horror stories of people not finding the right elevator must either have a terrible sense of direction,be blind, are too unobservant to see posted signs. During my stay, I may have waited at most three minutes for an elevator, and that was during check-out when everyone was leaving. In all, I never had to wait endlessly for a car to get to my floor. There were three or four elevators in my tower, and all were working. However, there were an inordinate amount of button lights out in the elevators, which made you wonder if you had actually pushed the button or not. Seems like a simple fix, but was rather irritating. My room was basic, but comfortable. I may have had the best sleep in months while at the IP. While this may be related to amount of alcohol consumed while there, I can easily say that bed comfort was never an issue. The bathroom came with your expected array of towels, and toiletries. Nothing fancy, but everything you've come to expect from a hotel. If you are looking for basic room and don't care about frills, I couldn't recommend this place enough. for the price you are staying dead-center of the strip, and are close to the monorail. I spent a minimal amount of time in my room (as should everyone) and have very few complaints about my stay. My ultimate endorsement is that I'll definitely stay their again on future trips.
