Super friendly staff and valet personnels. Clean room and great soom service. Also best location on the strip. While at the end of the strip, it's still on the strip and right by the highway. Will be staying here everytime we go to Vegas, convienent and easily acessible. Free valet is a HUGE plus!

This was the first time I stayed at this casino and I had a wonderful time. There is a pizza place located on the Casino floor and every time I visit, I will make it a priority to stop by and eat there. We had a spa suite and it was very clean and orderly. Although there was a resort fee of 15.00 dollars, I don't believe that was an outrageous price. The resort fee included Internet access, which is a plus. I will come back and stay at New York New York again.

I went on a very busy weekend (EDC concert, big boxing match) and ended up waiting for over TWO HOURS to check-in because the "computers were down." The hotel made efforts to make the wait somewhat less painful by handing out free water bottles every 10-15 minutes, but it was kind of ridiculous. The room was nice. I don't smoke and am rather health-conscious, so I was glad that my non-smoking room was well-ventilated/didn't smell of smoke. The beds were comfy and we had a great view of the strip and MGM Grand, which is directly across from NY, NY. Among other amenities in the standard room, there was a nice-size flat screen TV and a full length mirror on one wall. The bed was King size and I believe there were two night stands, a desk with another mirror above it, a bench of sorts, and in the bathroom there was a shower-tub and one of those make-up mirrors that extends from the wall. Parking was included (garage), which was convenient. I noticed near the elevators the table against the wall was pretty dusty, so not sure if this means they don't clean the rooms that well, but I didn't notice anything unusually unclean about my room while I was there. I thought it was annoying that not all of the elevators go to all of the floors. The rooms are separated into separate "towers" with their own elevators. Thus, if your friends/family are staying in a different room than you, you might have to travel across the casino to get to the elevators that reach them. I thought the staff were friendly. I played craps, and they offered a 1 hour free lesson in the morning when I was there (I'm sure they take place throughout the day). After the lesson, you could make minimum bets at 1/2 the regular rate ($5 instead of $10 at the Craps table I went to). I didn't use the pool, but it looked about average. Not comparable to the pool(s) at MGM Grand, though, or likely those of several of the newer hotels. I had a poor dining experience at this hotel. I'm vegan and avoid processed food, though, so I admit my standards are likely higher/more particular than most people reading this. Reluctantly, I tried to have breakfast my last day in Vegas at the Cafe Americana. Again, I don't eat meat, dairy, eggs or processed foods, so I was very limited in my options from the beginning. Basically, it was fruit or oatmeal. I ordered oatmeal because I don't like to eat too much sugar, and the oatmeal literally looked and smelled like cardboard. It was disgusting. I took one whiff and I wanted to gag. The wait staff were very accommodating, however, and were glad to exchange it for a fruit bowl, instead. I also attempted to order "freshly squeezed" orange juice. I had my suspicions from the beginning, as I know companies use this term loosely, so before ordering a glass I asked the waitress whether it was squeezed when you order it or squeezed at some other time. She didn't know, so she asked someone in the kitchen and came back and said, "you don't want it." Apparently, "fresh squeezed" orange juice to Cafe Americana means orange juice that was fresh squeezed before being packaged and stored in its pantry...At that point, I decided to just go with a glass of water, but that tasted and smelled of rubbing alcohol, so I gave up and went to the Go Raw Cafe off the strip where I had eaten the day before and had a delicious, natural, cruelty-free brunch. Oh, and I also ordered some juice and actually saw them juice the veggies shortly after I ordered it. Apparently, not everyone has forgotten what "fresh" means. ; )

Everything about this hotel was good. I would definitely stay there again! My only one concern was that our room was extremely far from the elevator. When I was checking in, I asked for a high floor & a room near the elevator. Upon getting to my room, it was opposite of my request, a low floor & again the room was extremely far. I was gonna complain but, I had already unpacked. Oh well...
