do not be fooled as i was. in my opinion there is not a no-smoking room or restaurant in this hotel. You have to go through the casino to get to your room. The elevators, halls and at least my room reeked of cigarette smoke. There is also a roller coaster that ran till after midnight two of the nights we were there. I complained twice to staff about noise and why they sell non-smoking rooms when in reality there is no such thing at this hotel. Will burn all my clothes i took with me and stay elsewhere next time.

The New York New York was like a brand new hotel inside. Everything was clean, it didn't reek horribly of smoke unlike some of the others I toured, and the staff was very helpful and polite. The king size bed was so comfortable that I was shocked when my alarm went off and I realized I was deep in a dream and sideways across the bed as I awoke. By weird coincidences I had three meals in a row at Chin Chin, the Asian restaurant in the hotel, and it was tasty food and excellent service. I wasn't impressed by the television selections, there weren't many channels. I don't have television at home and was looking forward to catching a little Comedy Central, the Food Network, and maybe some Cartoon Network, but none of those were available. It's okay. People don't go to Las Vegas to watch television. Oh, the bathtub was really deep and hot and I had a great soak. I had a Park Avenue room with a strip view, and I feel like the strip view was a waste cuz the view was the roller coaster and the Excalibur Hotel. Folks I talked to enjoyed the roller coaster. The room was roomy. No fridge or microwave. Very comfortable chairs, and there was a dock for iPods or something, at least I think that's what it was.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and neat. The bedspreads were also very clean. My only real con is all the smoking from the casino area basically gets everywhere in the hotel. You do have to pay an extra resort fee every day you stay. The restaurants and shows in the hotel were wonderful.
