ive been to Vegas 7 times, the last was a few months ago. i just got back from the most recent trip (april 2013). NYNY has some improving to do. The resturants are a joke. There are not any retail shops like many of the other resprts. The internet is very slow and the resort/casino was overrun with kids (under 21) running around on the casino floor (sometimes with parents.... mostly without). There is some construction and the drink locations are overpriced for what they are. The resort fee of $20 per day ($22.40 after tax) is unjustified for what you do not receive. I have stayed at NYNY several times and this was the first that left me not wanting to go back. There are not a lot of pros other than location and even with that you still have quite a bit of walking to do to get to the center part of the strip.

we have gone to vegas every year for the last 12 or so and stay at a different casino each time. We were looking forward to New York New York as we always liked the casino part but were disappointed by the small room and had so many problems with the next door room that on the 3rd night we finally had to call security. He was a nice guy but that was as far as it went. Also I am afraid the spa was a waste of money and need I even mention over $20 a day in resort fees
