The casino is small but nice. The food price and quality is very good. Drink prices are great for the strip. Rooms are about like an older Days Inn but are clean and comfortable. If you don't want the frills, it's a great place to stay just off the strip. If you want frills, try the MGM across the street.

  • The staff was nice but the hotel is run down.

The floors are coming apart, the bathroom was horrible - there was plumbers putty in the shower that got all over our feet and my boys legs, the shower head was pulled away from the wall so you could see the hole in the shower wall. Just felt like it was a dirty hotel that needed some major repairs and remodeling.

Cheap, not very well maintained, and the staff tried to charge me an extra $100 on checkout. When I questioned them about it, they mumbled something about how my "company credit card didn't go through"... when, I had a couple thousand in available credit, and it was a personal credit card. Nevertheless, they didn't seem to be able to understand this. I told them I paid the entire trip in advance, and they claimed that I did not. After I showed them my receipt, (she didn't seem interested in looking at it anyway), she turned around and walked away. 10 or 15 minutes later, she came back to the counter and apologized.

The location is a block off the strip. You can cross the road to the MGM to catch the monarail. The two restaurants inside are very economical and serve delicious food. Not to mention the live band we listened to for hours, but also found a bar inside where Glenn got to practice his drumming skills. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. For the money, you can't beat this place. We'll definitely be staying there again.
