04/09/2013Was very let down by the actual hotel, did not look like the pictures. there was cigarette ashes in the stairwell for days. staff was friendly.

Rooms are very nice with refrig and microwave. Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff did a great job daily. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. TV channel selections were great. Several stores and restaurants were within walking distance. The onsight laundry room was helpful. There was a bus stop right outside for easy access to downtown and Seaworld. The only setback was that the last bus of the evening bus arrives there about 11 or so which means leaving downtown no later than 10:15. I will definitely stay here again when in San Diego!

The hotel itself is in ok shape - looks like the rooms have been remodeled. Breakfast was great - choice of fresh waffles, toast, cereal, oatmeal and some gooey claws. The best part of our stay was the hotel staff. They were very nice to us - they upgraded us to the suite (for the same price as 2 queens) which was fantastic. Free internet worked fine, once we figured out the username/passwd.
