Very charming buildings and rooms. (Why come to NOLA and stay somewhere without local color?) Located at a streetcar and bus stop. Breakfast was average but I appreciated that it started early since I was there for business. Secured parking lot.

Our door had a major crack in it that light from the outside could come in., The shower spray was loose from the wall, water flow poor. The breakfast was cold and unappealing. We had to park far away from the room even though we had a handicap card.

I had two rooms at this hotel...the double bed was a decent room and a lot nicer than the single queen. The single queen room smelled like it had water damage, it had a very strong mold smell and my allergies were terrible in this room. The room was also so small that with the bed and two carry on suitcases there was really no room to move around. The AC in the room was so loud that we had to turn it off at night just to get some sleep. I will not stay there again.

Overall the room was good, small but nicely decorated and clean. The problem was the partying at the hotel restaurant. Patrons of the bar were all out in the street, making it uncomfortable to walk out of the hotel, they blocked the driveway and entrances to the hotel. They cut through the hotel in the late night hours being loud and rowdy. Being single, and being given a room that opened directly outside to the area the partiers were using as a cut through made me feel unsafe, as I could hear them loud and clear in my room. If it had not been for this problem the hotel was fine, and located in an area with many restaurants in walking distance.

08/08/2012Loved the place , great value and very close to the french quarter and major highways as well. good neighborhood with many good places to eat and drink within walking distance.
