THe hotel was beautiful and in a very convieninet location to everything, but just far enough away to real relax. The service was good, although the check in could have been a little more efficient ( it was a slow process). You are within walking distance to numerous places to eat and bars, as well as other hotels to visit. The hotel has a tour service avail for site seeing that was very convenient. The hotel beach was clean and comfortable with a short beach to walk along. The pool was rather small and could get a bit crowded. The hotel lobby was very active at night with a live band, except Monday. There is so much to see and do, you really need at least 8-10 days to take it all in. Prices all over San Juan were very expensive, with tourism down they should consider this, for this reason, if money is a consideration I would look elsewhere for a bettter value.

A very lovely hotel, but their King size bed gave me and my husband the worst backaches ever! We're only in our mid 40's and came to PR to enjoy it -and we did! - but the bed they offered (even though it was comfy the first 2 hours) when you woke up the next morning... Oh man... What a pain!! We stayed 4 days 3 nights there and we couldn't really change us to another room because ALL their beds are the same, we were told.

The hotel is beautiful. The pool area is lovely. We found the service terrific. The Coffee Merchant has a very good breakfeast and the people who work there are so very accommadating. My husband eats oatmeal almost every day. The first morning we got up very late. Breakfeast time had passed but the woman working at the Coffee Merchant went down to the restaurant on the lower floor to get him his oatmeal ....way beyond the call of duty. When we were going to check out a male employee saw us and asked our room number. While we were checking out he came rushing up to us with the base for my husband's electric toothbrush. Again way beyond the norm. The only negative about the hotel is the cost of food. But the two dinner we ate there were both very good.

We stayed at the Marriott for five nights/six days. The quality and service were excellent, and we especially loved that we could book tours so easily through the activity desk. The beach was beautiful - probably the best of those on the Condado - and we LOVED the beach bar. If possible, I would recommend venturing out of the resort for meals. We found some great restaurants nearby that had better food and better prices than any of those located in the hotel. The hotel is located in a great area, and it's easy to walk to restaurants and shops. The only thing we didn't particularly love about the hotel was the lobby- there's a lot going on with the front desk, bar, live bands, casino - but I would hardly find that as a reason not to enjoy a stay at the resort.

We spent four nights at this hotel and loved it. It was a great family hotel. The cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff were excellent. It was in easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants. It was also very convenient to take a bus or taxi to old San Juan. There are extras fees, such as parking, but we were prepared for that before we left. My children loved the beach and the pools. Although the red flag was out every day, we had no problem swimming in the ocean. There are free beach toys available by the pool for children to play with on the beach. When they were done with the beach, we would simply shower off the sand and head to the pools. The larger pool has a water slide, but my children really enjoyed the shallower pool too. If you have a rental car, there are driving directions at the front desk to get you to your destinations. We drove to the El Yunque rainforest with no problems. The rainforest was awesome and worth the time to visit. We will definitely visit San Juan again, and there is no doubt that we would stay at the Marriott Resort.
