The room was clean and fresh, everything you would expect from a Marriott. It still had a kind of low-scale feel to it. The beach was rocky, and surf was to rough to even sit comfortably at the shoreline. The days spent there the pool was out of order, and the activities (other than the casino) were poor. Being in San Juan was nice, and overall a good place for a quick vacation getaway into the sunshine.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful . Resort restaurants were a bit pricey but you can find other places to eat within walking distance. I recommend Buenos Ayres which is on the same street Walgreens is on, try the churrasco (flap meat) it is very good. We booked the excursions through the hotel even though its a bit pricier , it was convenient cause they would pick you up at the hotel and there was no need to rent a car or get a taxi. Taxis by the way range from $15-20 one way , so have that in mind as an extra expense . Highly recommend the bio bay kayaking tour , catamaran snorkeling and El Yunque rainforest tour. We made a trip to Old San Juan and made the mistake of not putting on sunscreen while we walked around. My wife got a real bad sunburn as a result . The trolley is free in Old San Juan and literally takes you all around , so there's no need of paying for a tour guide . Entrance to both forts in old San Juan is only $5 for both and the ticket lasts a couple of days if you want to go back. Overall we had a great time and will definitely go back !

This was a great hotel, great staff, nice room, fun lobby with live music, fun casino. My only negatives, the beach area is kind of small, but if you check the maps you will see this. The pool area has 2 pools, one small regular pool and 1 kiddie pool. I would rather they have used this space to make one huge pool, because the regular pool is too small, and the kiddie pool is too shallow. The location of the hotel is awesome with local eateries and clubs within walking distance, which we utilized every night. A free breakfast would be nice. Overall, a great hotel at a great location.

This was a nice hotel, but a little pricey. The location is great, with lots of fun restaurants and clubs within walking distance. The beach is small, but nice. Enjoyed having the beach chairs/umbrella included with the room, as well as free wifi, and a discount on bike rental. We used room service for breakfast a couple of times, and it was pricey, but good. Pools at the hotel were rather small. Casino was fun. Lounge in hotel lobby was great with a wonderful salsa band. Free bottled water daily in room was also nice.
