I would definitly stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The best was the elevators, like a ride at the fair. Staff was great we got a room overlooking times square was great. Rooms were clean. Was close to the subway, tour buses, and ticket booth. We ate at juniors across the way and was really good. Go to Katz on houston st. in soho and get the best paastrami sandwich. Carmines was fabulous but have at least 4 people when going food is served family style. So many good places to eat. Try the cheescake. We would only stay here at marriott when we go to new york again. Had a great experience. Drinks were really good but pricey. Go to the top of the marriott for the view.

My husband and I were there for the long Memorial weekend, and it was perfect for us. Friendly, attentive service in all areas. In fact, the staff went out of their way with little extras. The room was very comfortable. Large (especially by New York standards), clean, and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room-darkening curtains worked great, and the room was surprisingly quiet. Nice TV with extras we didn't use. There was enough room for all of our stuff in the bathroom, and the shower temp. was easy to adjust, and with perfect pressure. The location is excellent. Within an easy walk of the theaters and Times Square, as well as the subway. The free breakfast included many hot and cold options, and was tasty. This was my first trip to NYC, and if I ever return, I plan to stay again at the Hampton Inn!

after i was able to make the upgrade for a room with a view - couldn't upgrade - i had to make many different calls inorder to get the room i wanted - the room had bobbypins on the floor & m&m's from the previous occupants - there was an expreme amount of dust on wall vent in bathroom - light was out in bathroom upon entering - had to call more than once for room towels - every long time to finally get them - we were there the at the time of the bomb in times square - we were evacuated however when i called into the hotel to say some people were being let thru the police baricades i asked if we could also - hotel said I DON"T KNOW YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK THE POLICE - I asked if there were any guess in hotel - REPSONSE WAS - I DON'T KNOW - IT WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE - THE HOTEL SAID THEY WERE IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH POLICE - IF THEY WERE THEY DID NOT LET THE PERSON ANSWERING THE PHONES KNOW ANY INFORMATION - VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
