Loved the private beach on mission bay. There were lots of activities at the hotel. Walking distance to mission beach. Short drive to Sea World. Hotel was very clean and family friendly. I would definitely go there again.

The hotel has one of the most beautiful settings in all of San Diego. The location invokes a sense of calmness and relaxation. We marveled at the views from out deck as well as from within the room. There's plenty of white sandy beach area to dig your toes into and bask in the sun. I would heartily recommend the Bahia Resort Hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego. Enjoy!!

Our first impression of this hotel wasn't very good. The hotel and rooms look nothing like the photos on their web page. The front desk staff was very unprofessional and were more interested in talking to each other than taking care of the customer. We goto our first room and it is not what we requested. Two double beds and no kitchenette (whole reason we picked this hotel). They moved us to another room, kitchenette but double beds again. We requested a king bed and they could not accomodate us. The couch was dirty, the carpet had burns in it. I didn't feel "at home" at this hotel at all. They also had some party with a large group of teenagers in the party room of our building. For almost three hours all we heard was "kids" running up and down the stairs, hallways, and outside. After numerous calls to the front desk they finally sent someone over to make sure the "party" stayed where it was supposed to. The internet didn't work for most of the time we were there and the maid service is very poor. We did not try the restaurant or bar due to the poor service we received elsewhere at the hotel. Pool is very small. We tried to contact a manager or corporate contact during our stay to let them know how unstatisfied we were and our calls were not returned. We also requested a phone call regarding our stay on the comment card, and still have not received a response since November.

The room was fair at best...but it was the location that made it an excellent experience. My family and I would not hesitate to stay here again. My girls enjoyed running along the bay, splashing in the water, and playing in the sand. I don't think they would have minded sleeping on the beach because the location was that beautiful. The next morning I enjoyed waking up going for a run along the bay, and afterwards we ate at the hotel restaurant which had a friendly staff and great service. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying. The room was not that great, the tv was ancient, the floors worn, 'outdated' about sums it up...but what a location! We'd stay there again in a heartbeat regardless.
