  So the plusses first. The "room" was huge. It's really a suite, with a kitchenette, bedroom, deck, bathroom and bedroom. That was totally awesome, and a complete surprise at how big it all was. More than enough room for me and my friend. The area is of course very tourist oriented, and their beach is pleasant to sit at. There was plenty of parking, and the staff was for the most part very friendly. The downside to it was that the room itself was a little tired. We had two couches, one of which was pretty much unusable because it was so beat up. There were a couple of very uncomfortable chairs too. So we had all this space, and nowhere to really sit. The rug was really old looking, and the beds were just tired old mattresses. Everything was a little tired looking, but clean and mostly usable. So on the whole, it was a great location, with lots of space, and the potential for awesome rooms. A little updating would go a long way, but it's well worth the trip.

  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Bahia. I was ALWAYS greeted by all the staff in a very friendly manner and I truly felt they were happy to see me. I ate breakfast in the restaurant every morning and though I was alone I was always treated in a sunny and happy atmosphere. Everyone was willing to help me with every request. The only problem I had was the bed was way too hard.

  We stayed in the single floor hotel rooms that were a little outdated. The cracks in the brick walls, the damp feel to everything in the room, the small sink and mirrors, the colors of the walls and carpet...it just seemed old. The price was right so I'm not complaining. It looks like the taller buildings with more floors had nicer rooms but were probably more expensive too. It was a little cool when we went and didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked nice. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey but there was a lot of places to eat nearby. The location is great. It seemed like we were close to just about anything you would want to do on vacation. I'd stay here again.

  We just returned from a family vacation. The Bahia staff is very friendly, helpful, and great with kids. We ate at the Bahia cafe every day, although pricey, the food was excellent and the portions are huge. The grounds are well manicured and beautiful. We used the pool and large jacuzzi every evening, it felt great after a long day walking around the zoo. The room was clean, a bit outdated, quiet and comfortable. We would definitely go back to the Bahia, but not in February, it was a bit too cold, I think April or May would be ideal.
