We stayed for 4 nights/5 days and enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the guest only section with lounge chairs. The small play ground and free arcade were nice surprises for my 3 kids. The room and kitchen were very small but worked just fine. The lounge had great food but was way too slow.

The only things that surprised me was that the room photos that I had seen when I booked my room, was not the room I received when I arrived at the hotel . Also I had asked for two queen beds and instead came to a room with two full size beds. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

We had a wonderful family vacation in San Diego! The Bahia staff was extremely accomodating and friendly! The first suite we had was brand new, but didn't have the setup we needed for a toddler. They upgraded us, at no charge, for the inconvenience. The Bahia pool was clean, and has the largest jacuzzi I've ever seen in a resort/hotel. My only complaint is the laundry rooms (closet-size) are too small for the guest capacity. Otherwise, the Bahia was exactly what a family with small children needed - a clean enclosed beach with a pool!

The location of this hotel is superb and quiet. When I checked out I left a list of things that need attention: The refrigerator was very noisy; the bathtub and the area around it were not clean; the tap in the bathtub ran a stream and could not be shut off; and I did not feel really safe in the ground-floor room because the lock on the sliding glass door which opened onto a small patio and then the lawn and nearby beach did not appear to be strong. As my son pulled on it when it was locked, the metal frame bowed and conceivably could be forced. He placed the ironong board against the window, blocking the door from sliding open - then I could sleep.
