My husband and I stayed here for a night just to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The room was very nice. Very modern and updated. We went over to the bar and heard an awesome live band, had drinks and the best part was we could just walk back to the room after the show. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in this area before, and this was a very neat location and property. Terrific food (high end) and the location was terrific. Great for the price and we look forward to staying there again. They do hold concerts there, not while we were there, but it looks like I would avoid it if one is going on. Could be a madhouse.
First time traveling to san diego on vacation. was challenging to find somewhere via the internet but felt like humphrey's was a pretty good choice.

We had a wonderful stay. Only had a couple of complaints. The first was we felt that the male desk clerk on duty the first two nights we were there was very rude and very disinterested in helping us or answering any of our questions. We walked away feeling like we were disrupting his evening. The second upset was we were misled about the outdoor concerts. When we booked with the Half Moon Inn Suites we understood that we could buy concert tickets at a cheaper cost and possibly get a complimentary ticket to some concerts. This was entirely untrue. On site food was delicious but very costly. If staying longer than overnight, bring your own snacks.

I have enjoyed my stay both times at this hotel. It's away from major traffic and right across the street from walking path. Parking is easy but you still have to pay I believe which is always a hassle for staying in San Diego. We used hotel's bikes and enjoyed a great ride around Shelter Island and outlying areas to discover more than we could on foot. The bed is fabulously comfortable which is important to me due to back problems. I have stayed on the bay side and garden side now and would be hard pressed to choose between the two. The bay side has fabulous nightime view but you have to hear traffic on the street. The patio was nice to have in the garden view but we didn't really use because it was exceptionally cold during our stay. I found the adjoining restaurant to be overpriced but it was nice view of the boats on the dock.
