This hotel was listed as a 4 star resort type hotel close to the beach in mission beach. Well its location was great, 5 minutes from sea worlsd and mission beach, however they were not accurate with the shuttle times to and from the airport and i had to find a cab late at night, when i arrived at the hotel they had one king bed for 3 of us. they offered us a cot. they did have our double room available the next afternoon. the attached restaurant had good food and alot of options on themenu, however both times we ate there the order was not prepared right the first time and had to be sent back. i will definately return to San Diego to visit, but will not return to the DANA!

I booked the Dana on Mission Bay as a mystery hotel and was so pleasantly surprised. I have to say it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. It was so close to everything including a midway down the street with a wooden rollercoaster, Seaworld, restaurants, shopping and especially the beaches. Everyone who worked there were so kind and so very helpful. If I asked for anything it was done. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to San Diego. Also, if you haven't been to San Diego, put it on your bucket list as it has to be one of the most beautiful cities on our planet.

  • Underwhelming

There is nothing that spectacular about this hotel to warrant the price per night. it provides the same amenities and comfort as a motel 6 - no more, no less.

The landscaping and flowers at the hotel made it feel like a tropical escape. I really enjoyed walking around the grounds and marina. It was very easy to get where we wanted to go from the hotel. The martini's at the restaurant across from check-in were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Loved the pools! There is a great breakfast place down West Mission Bay Drive, on the oceanfront walk. I can't remember the name, but it shares a parking lot with Belmont Park and has tables right along the beach. You can't miss it!

Had reservations for two queen beds. when we got there they didn't have any rooms with two queen beds. gave us a roll away bed which was very uncomfortable.
