EXCELLENT PLACE TO RELAX, PLAY AND BE ROMANTIC IN SAN DIEGO. THE VIEW WAS EXCELLENT. rIGHT ON THE BAY. LOTS OF WATER ACTIVITY. YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR PARKING, BE PREPARED.

I would recommend this place for families with small children. The walls are very thin between each room and top of each room. You can hear everything that is said and is going on around you. I went with two teenage boys. Not enough to do for us but would be fine for young families. Too noisy also for us.

This resort is in a great location. The hotel shuttle to Sea World was convenient, and the city bus line stops just across the street from the resort. For 5$ a day/pp it took our group of 7 to all the sites we were interested in. (Old Town, Mission Beach, The Midway). The resort is also walking distance to a small convenience store. The staff were friendly. At checkin we requested a shower chair and it was brought to our room within 10 mins. The housekeepers were very thoughtful and front desk staff and shuttle driver, extremely knowledgeable of the city. Our flight home was very early in the morning when the hotel shuttle did not run, therefore the desk staff negotiated a cheaper rate for us with the taxi service. The resort as a whole was always clean.

The Dana was a great way to return to San Diego after 40 years!! All my friend and I did was walk across the street to get the buses to take us everywhere. So convenient. The pool area was beautiful, the restaurant was tasty and had lovely, patient people working there. The staff at the front desk was also VERY helpful. Ice and soda machines were handy. I hope to return in October,and would use the Dana again as my "home away from home".
