Overall The Dana was a nice place to stay. We got to the hotel a little early for check in and were told our room would be ready in less than half an hour. After waiting in the lobby for an hour we went up to the desk and finally got our keys. None of the keys worked in the room's door, and when we came back to the front desk they upgraded our room. The new rooms are bigger and nicer, also the view was beautiful. IF I STAYED THERE AGAIN I WOULD SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE NEWER ROOM WITH THE VIEW. One night we asked the front desk for a close Chinese restaurant and got a great suggestion, along with directions. Another night we got no help when looking for a sports bar nearby. We did not feel that we were treated as well as we would have liked by the staff.

I would totally recommend The Dana on Mission Bay - it is a beautiful place with beautiful scenery, great food and great service. It is in close proximity to lots of attractions...10-15 minutes from Seaport Village, Gaslamp District, Old Towne and the Ferry to Coronado.

I was not planning to have to walk 5 minutes to get to my room. I was there for a conference and on our breaks we did not have much time. It was a very nice place. Had to unplug the lights by my bed because there was nothing on the light fixture to turn off or on. By the time I found this out it was late so there was no one to show me how it worked. Overall very nice place. Shuttle to and from airport was not cheap and limited availability
