When I arrived at the front desk, I specifically asked for a clean and quiet room. Instead, I got an old, moldy room with a gap at the bottom of the door at least 1" thick. I could hear everything in the halls. I asked for a room change, and they actually upgraded me to the newer section. Little did I know that I would be staying next to the elevators in a room with an adjoining door the next room. I could hear at least 6 or seven people at one side of my headboard, and the following room, 2 screaming kids. I did not get any sleep during my stay. The pool was noisy; music playing so loud, I couldn't get a nap. Overall, this was my 6th and last trip to the Stratosphere. I told them that I would not gamble in their Casino if they did not change things. I did not spend a dime in their casino. I spoke to 2 Mexican girls at the front desk; one was a Manager. She said to me "I remember you, and told me that I reserved the right to write to the Regional Manager which is precisely what I intend to do." The other Mexican girl told me that they had no control over noise levels in rooms. Of all the ignorant things. I told her "if you went to a hotel and asked for a quiet room, would you expect to be placed by an elevator shaft; she became argumentative, and I thought, this is futile." Upper Management must know what's going on in that hotel, particularly when first impressions are your most vivid impressions of an experience. It was horrible!!!

I have stayed at a few of the hotels on the strip. Yes I will say this one is the furthest away from anything. It was quite a bit of a walk. That was the worst part of my review. Now saying that and knowing I will have to walk next time. Guess what ? I am staying there>!!!! From the front desk, to the house keeping to the card dealers or servers. There was not one ounce of bad service. Everybody was willing to help and they got it there. I was really amazed. I was learning how to play craps and roulette and not even on the scheduled lesson times. They were helping me. My shampoo was out they replaced in 5 minutes. The server after I moved several times she found me and said I have your drink. Really I felt bad after I moved but she found me. Amazing customer service. I got an amazing deal on the price the room was comfy the bed was comfy . The service is what made it. So yes yes yes to the stratosphere next year. I do hope I see the same people there because they are truly what is making me come back next year. BY the way the reason why I was there was to take my son to Vegas on his 21st birthday. His input was out of all the hotels we went to on the strip. This one make me feel at home.
