I was not happy with being charged a fee for the services I had no intention of using. Having to walk through a small casino area filled with smoke to get to the elevators that took us to our room was annoying.

  • I would highly recommend Circus Circus

Last year I had stayed at the Circus Circus and swore I would never return. Well my boyfriend wanted to go and suggested we try the hotel. I wasnt thrill about his choice but then again we were looking for a bed to sleep and shower. We got a great rate. When we arrrived I was extremely surprised the check in line was about a 5 min wait due to all the employes they had at the front desk. Last yr it was over 3 hrs to check in with only 2 people at the desk. The gentleman who helped I beleive was Larry and he was super nice and had put us up on the 18th floor in the West Tower. Last yr we paid for the West Tower and ended up in the "Manor"... dump of a place. But over all with this expereince, I would absolutly stay at the Circus Circus and recommend to anyone (esp with Kids)

I figured the reviews showed a decent hotel for the money. It was awful. There were stains on the bedding, tiles falling off the wall in the bathroom, and bathroom fixtures which were protruding from the shower enclosure. The water pressure for the shower pulsed from low to medium pressure during regular hours, it you wanted a hot consistent water pressure you needed to shower at 2:30 in the morning, which is what I did after waking up from such a hard bed, and too firm of pillows. Every time we walked through the lobby we were literally accosted by staff trying to "comp" us event tickets, if we paid for a few extra perks... We stayed on here on our way to our destination, then meant to stop on our way back. When we got their for our second night, which I dreaded to begin with, it literally took us 15 minutes just to get an elevator with enough room so we could board with our luggage and make it out of the parking garage. when we got into the lobby there were around 250 (no exaggerating) people standing in line just to check in. The line stretched from the front desks across the lobby and nearly into the casino entrance. We waited and waited. When it appeared check in would take over an hour, we decided to donate our nonrefundable reservation for the night and drove home. The hotel is owned by the MGM group, which also owns the Mirage. It was clear me picturing this as a good place to stay was also a mirage!!! I won't be staying here again!

Hotel was as promised EXCEPT for the queen beds instead of the king I requested. According to the hotel, even if your given a choice, theres no guarantee that it will be there when you arrive. They said I could call the next morning, but who wants to unpack and then move again. Other than that the room was comfortable, the staff was friendly and the food was good, with plenty of options. The 6.99 breakfast at Rockin Ritas was a great way to start the day. We ate late in the morning, along with an afternoon snack, we were able to last into the eve for supper. If your looking for a family friendly place, this is a good choice with all the extra for kids. We would probably stay elsewhere on the next trip as it was very busy on the weekend. Alot of traffic, even thru the casino. We love kids, just don't want that many on a vacation. Its a hotel with a county fair and a circus. If your looking for a romantic weekend, not a good choice. FYI, dont purchace show tickets before, do a timeshare promotion, tell them no, and pick out your show, very good deals. Another couple paid 270 for the same show we could have went to for 110. We ended up cancelling because of a schedule conflict (double check the date on your voucher) but they gave us our money back without a hassle! We went for a friends wedding and had a great first trip. Looking forward to going back! I would have rated higher except for beds and so many kids!
