    There were 2 small drawbacks on this property. First, it appeared to be geared toward weekend partyers who were noisy into the wee hours both outside and in the halls. Second, the balconies are continuous which I discovered when I smelled cigarette smoke coming in the A/C and opened my patio door and found a very young teen crouched under my window smoking. S/He scrambled under the 2x4 minimal barrier and scooted back into the room next door, leaving the smoldering butt. S/He was obviously trying to sneak in a smoke and probably didn't know my room was occupied! The bed was quite comfy and the staff very helpful.

    If you are looking for fancy then this aint the place for you. But if you are looking for a great location, close to all, restaurants and right on the beach, then I recommend this place highly. Not fancy but the rooms are clean and the hosts are real accommodating. The only negative to me is getting charged to use beach chairs. its a bit tacky don't you think?

    Nicely refurbished hotel right on Ft Lauderdale Beach. Feels like a luxury hotel in the lobby areas. Great pool deck overlooking the ocean. Has its own beach access. Very good price / value for money. Nice restaurant - great for breakfast, but food is fair.

    When you enter the lobby it's looks nice; but that's where it ends. We paid too much for what we got. For the Ocean Sky Hotel to have "Resort" in it's name is just a JOKE. At check-in there was a $* charge to my credit card (for incidential purpose). The rooms are those of a motel 8. They are very compact and not appealing. Our request was double beds so that wasn't a problem. My friend travels with her own cover and chose to sleep on top of the bed. Not a single day did the bed get fluff and the covers straighten back out. The bathroom was so tiny, wasn't room to bearly turnaround. And let's not leave out the hidden charges. You were charged for the towels if not returned by 6 pm; 15% gratuity was added to check; internet charge; room safe charge; cab/shuttle to/from the airport was $*-$*. Upon check out we wanted to take the charge off the cc and pay in cash. Oh well; too late because everything had been charged to the card. But I was told during check-in that I could settle the bill with cash at when we checked out. I went back and forth with the customer service person longer that I should have and finally asked to speak to the manager. As he came out to speak w/me our shuttle arrived and we had to leave. I was given a business card by the mgr for me to contact him later but I haven't been able to reach him.Too many hidden charges. I'll never stay again with them.
