THis hotel ir right on Michigan Ave, close to everything. Really enjoyed the indoor pool. THe rooms were average the lobby and service was very nice, high class place! I met my sister there, we went sightseeing, shopping and out to dinners - Wonderful getaway.

We stayed here for a girls weekend. We could walk in 4 directions to find food and nightlife while still being very safe for a gaggle of hens. You stay here for the location. Otherwise its just a massive hotel and a place to lay your head.

Five-star to me means everything is perfect. The hotel was basically clean, but I don't expect to find peeling wallpaper in the bathroom or rust stains on the toilet in a five-star hotel. The room was small, which you expect in a downtown hotel, but it seemed pricey for the small and less-than-perfect room. The pool is amazing though, definitely a big selling point.
