The hotel was right next to the Opera and the Metro station, and only one block away from the Lafayette and Printemps, we even walked to the Louvre which was about one mile. Room was spacious with high ceiling, but the bed was actually two twin-bed put together. Internet access was extremely expensive, 8 euros for one hour or 24 euros for 24 hours, and only wired connection in the room, wireless is only available in the lobby. The Cafe de la Paix in the hotel serves very good food, but very pricey. The other restaurant cross the street, the Chez Clement, was much more reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Though when we checked in, the front desk girl somehow didn't see our reservation was prepaid, and put a $5K hold on our credit card, which was supposed only for incidentals. She later realized her mistake and tried to fix it, but the credit hold was still there when we checked out a week later, and had to ask the front desk to remove it. One thing about the noise: metro lines run underneath the hotel, every now and then there are rumbles of trains passing by, and can be heard in the room. It didn't bother us much after walking around all day long. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

This is one of our best family trip. This hotel made us very proud then and now. Especially my wife is still happy and smiles whenever she remembers Paris and InterContinental Le Grand Hotel. We can NOT forget very beautiful views from windows of hotel.

We had an easy check-in. Everyone was very nice and spoke perfect English, which was very convenient since our use of the French language was limited at best. The hotel is beautiful and large. They upgraded our room to an Opera view. Our room was always cleaned (even when we asked not to be disturbed). I think the hotel and service definitely upheld the standards of other Intercontinental hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in Aug. The staff were professional and courteous and very organized. There were plenty of staff members to help with whatever we requested whether it was regarding the hotel or the city. The rooms were very well attended. Supplies were replenished at our convenience and we were never disrupted. The hotel was quiet and safe. We would highly recommend this hotel to stay while in Paris.
