the hyatt resort in beaver creek was a very relaxing and calming retreat. we paid for a suite and it was a little smaller than expected. we had a great view from the hotel and the staff was very attentive. you are required to valet which was a downside but other than that i would highly reccommend the resort. great location to everything!

The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek has amazing views from the rooms with incredibly convenient ski-in/out access. You are on the slopes with in minutes of leaving your room. The staff was very friend, the food and service were great. The rooms are nice, but not over-the-top, and there was no minim-bar in the room, which was inconvenient.

We stayed here for our Spring Break. The ski-in, ski-out is the ONLY reason to stay here. The rooms are fine, but not spectacular. Equally nice rooms can be had slightly farther away from the slopes for much less. That said, we wanted to experience this hotel and its fire pit and could only do so in good conscience during off-peak season. We can say we did it.

Since this hotel touts itself as 5-star, I expected 5-star service and amenities and was greatly disappointed. I booked the room through a Hyatt promotion that was supposed to give me 10,000 Hyatt points, a pass to the Spa, a welcome amenity and a one-room upgrade. I received none of those things until I complained voiciferously to more than one person at the front desk!! Unlike most 5 star places, no drinks, hot or cold, are placed in the lobby for guests. The food and drinks at the restaurants are very over-priced and average in quality. There is no central air in the rooms, so the rooms stay very warm unless you turn on the a/c. Coffee makers are not automatically placed in the rooms. The fire pit outside is supposed to stay lit until 10:00 p.m. each night but it rarely is. The ski valet misplaced my skis and I ended up losing several hours of skiing time as a result! Little kids were constantly running up and down the hallways at all hours, screaming their little hearts out. Honeymooners beware - this is a family resort! On a positive note, the wood-burning fireplace and huge Chrismas tree in the lobby are very quaint and the ski in - ski out service is nice. The spa is good but not great. And at least half of the employees are very nice and helpful. The stay was not all bad but it definitely was not 5 star. 4 star at best.
