This is a hidden treasure, and the best value in Chicago... Why? Prompt Valet Parking Excellent, Friendly and Informed Check-in and Staff Great Bell Service Outstanding Room, especially at this rate in Downtown Chicago Close Proximity to everything Downtown Chicago has to offer, including the L Train NOT a Big Chain Excellent Restaurant! Resident Manager on Property took time to introduce himself to us and others in the lobby First class all the way! I did not use the meeting facilities, or the fitness room

We stayed for a weekend getaway and it was just perfect. Rooms were very clean and had modern decor. The bathrooms were HUGE- a big plus when you're getting ready in the morning- you're not bumping into one another. I'm a germaphobe and a clean freak when it comes to hotels- and this room was very CLEAN and was always cleaned before our return to the room at night. The service was excellent. The doorman,Greg, was awesome and very friendly! He told us where the best places to eat around there and always gave us directions where to go when we told him what we were doing that day. He was a huge help to us! We also took the architectural tour on the river and the concierge booked it for us so it was nice we didn't have to do anything.The location of the hotel is great- close to verything- we walked to Buckingham Fountain, Milenium Park, Michigan Ave. shopping- this is a very convenienet location! We will definitely be back to this hotel!

Good for the basics. It is in the South end of the loop so it is a good walking distance from the popular sites. Also near the subway. Concierge service was helpful. We had a great view of the Sears Tower from our window. Complementary breakfast was ok. Our only complaint was that the free wifi in the room was slow, although it is hard to say how much of that is the hotel's fault. Plus--if you stay here, go to Edwardo's Pizza across the street for terrific stuffed pizza.

This is a beautiful hotel. The location is perfect and we could walk or take a short bus ride to any place we wanted to go. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is excellent! They are so helpful and courteous. One day during our stay, we were quite a distance from the hotel and we must have looked as if we were lost. A man asked us if he could help us get to where we were going. It turned out he was a concierge at Hotel Blake and he recognized us as guests! We were headed to the American Girl store, so he told us exactly the bus to take that would drop us right at the corner. The thing that impressed us most is that he was off duty at the time and he still stopped to help us! We were very happy with our stay and plan to return very soon!
