I was really impressed when I arrived at the hotel becuase I was able to check prior to 3pm which was really good. However, my room was very very cold. I requested numerous on numerous occassiions to have someone check the room. Unfortunately, my room was never at a comfortable setting.

We stayed at the Hotel Blake with a small group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We were all very happy with the size, comfort, and location of the hotel. It was conveniently located near the LaSalle Street Station and felt very much like a city hotel. An odd side note: the ice machine was located on the top floor which normally wouldn't pose a problem. However, the top floor was more of a service floor with a bit of an eerie feel. It did not match the overall feel of the rest of the stay. We were hoping for a view, but instead ended with a close brick wall of the next door building. The rain shower experience was a highlight of the room. All in all, I would stay at Hotel Blake again.

My boyfriend and I went to Chicago for a conference I had and the Blake Hotel was less expensive than the conference hotel, and not far from all the same attractions. It was a great stay. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The doorman, "Showtime," had great suggestions for where to eat close by, and what to see. The room was clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the iPOD dock on the night stand was a great feature. The room was quiet, and had a floor to ceiling window that looked out toward the Chicago Stock Exchange building. The continental breakfast was free, and great for anyone like us who only wants a muffin or a danish to grab in the morning. On the second night of our stay, my boyfriend proposed while we were on a night cruise. The friendly hotel staff were the first to congratulate us on becoming engaged when we got back! All in all the Blake Hotel was a great find. It was a relatively inexpensive, high quality, friendly hotel with a convenient location.
