Nice hotel, however, they need to check for bed bugs. I left with a few red spots on me and it wasn't mosquitos! Such a shame and embarrassment for a 4-star hotel.

When we arrived on 7/14/11, construction was taking place on a couple of floors. We did not have electricity in our room and was told when we checked in. It was on about 30 minutes later, which wasn't a problem. We did rent a car and used self-park. Glad we did as lines seemed to be long for those waiting for valet at times. There were 3 of us in our room and each day sometimes twice a day, I had to call and ask for additional towels. I left a note for housekeeping, but realized when we didn't receive the towels, most likely there was a language barrier so each time I had to call the front desk to request them. Our TV wasn't working on our second day there and we called front desk. Jerry, of the maintenance department, was sent up and took care of it immediately. He also gave us a great lead on a Mexican restaurant to try. Salsalito's (about 30 minutes away). THANK YOU JERRY. It was really good. There was a fee for internet, which we didn't use and used free internet where we could. Hotel needs to change that policy, majority of hotels do not charge. At least the hotels we have stayed in, there hasn't been a fee. Basically, it was a nice place and most likely would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Overall the hotel was good but they charge for everything. The Lobby and Bar area was very nice. Rooms however should have more detail on the way they are actually laid out. Forget about parking. The staff there did fix the issue but still was a hassle to find a spot without paying for valet which was not covered in price of the hotel. This is one place I will not stay again. Just to many little things that added up to a lot of time wasted.

Loved the Hyatt Riverwalk! The location was unbelievable. Its located across the street from the Alamo and in the heart of the Riverwalk loop. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Originally we had a room that overlooked the hotel atrium, but when we requested a room with more sunlight the hotel staff immediately found us a different room that overlooked the Riverwalk. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the rooftop pool is also an added perk. The hotel did not provide free Internet, but there are several places with free WiFi around the area. Must see place is the Mi Tierra restaurant and bakery in Market Square - a true sight to see inside (and really good food). All the people in San Antonio were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the public smoking is out of control (not in the hotel). Overall it was a GREAT stay!
