Nice hotel, but kind of scary being downtown, and having to park in a parking garage across the street, and carry my luggage down a few stairs after crossing the street to get into the hotel. Nice hotel, but I like having a free breakfast-- which this did not offer. Nice restaurant, though.

We had a very nice, clean room.Quiet and comfy. The staff pointed us inthe right direction for some good grub and if and when in Allentown you should hit Fegley's BrewWorks. Our in hotel meal at the Brazilian BBQ was amazing. We had never experienced one of these dinners and were shocked at the quanity of meats and the quality of the meats served. If you have your choice of only one place to dine and you are hungry...definitely go for the Brazilain BBQ at the hotel. We adored our Colombian waiter; he was a student learning English and was most delightful to speak with. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and if in this area again would try to make sure we stayed Center City. We did not use the pool but we did see others enjoying the amenities. We did use the Internet and the service was decent. The hotel is converting to all NON smoking which is wonderful. The security was good and we were pleased with the parking garage next door.

I was in Allentown, PA for one day to speak and sing at a church there. I decided to give this hotel a chance. I am usually not a big fan of Holiday Inn's, but I gave it a chance. I was pleasantly suprised by the hotel. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff and an excellent room. Very clean and the hotel had obviously had a recent face lift. The only downside to it was that it was in the middle of downtown and it didn't seem to be in the safest area. They do have a parking garage next door for $6.00 a day which is very resaonable compared to allot of places that I go. Give it a try. Great hotel for the money. God bless!!!
