Took my daughter and granddaughters to Chicago for a girls' weekend. We very much enjoyed the elegant decor of the hotel. The concierge and other staff were all friendly and helpful. Convenient location to places we wanted to visit. Parking is expensive so being close to the CTA was a big plus and fun for my granddaughters. Only negatives: indoor swimming pool was extremely cold and bathroom was small.

If you wish to visit a hotel with a "WOW" factor this is the one for you. A sumptuous blend of Georgian, Regency and Art Deco. The quite magnificent public rooms would do justice to a Venetian Palace. It is not often you come accross quality beds with pure cotton sheets and thin down duvets--no man made fibre here. Add to this the superb quality breakfast and it is a hard combination to beat.

We loved everything about the hotel except the musty/moldy smell of the bathroom. It is an older historic hotel, so it was not a big shock, but it would have been nice to be able to get another room without the smell. The hotel was fully booked both nights we were there, so it was not an option. The front desk was gracious and gave us a complimentary breakfast.

MY WIFE AND I CELEBRATED OUR 5TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IN CHICAGO, AND LOVED THE SERVICE OF ALL THE STAFF AT THE PALMER HILTON, THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE BEDS WERE AS RELAXING AS AT HOME. THE ROOM SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND DELICIOUS. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
