The lobby is beautiful and is a great place to hang out with a good book or have some oysters and a drink at the bar. It is perfectly located near Millenium Park and Public Transportation (The El). I have stayed at the Palmer House on multiple occasions and have not been disappointed.

We loved The Palmer House. The location was convenient to everything Chicago has to offer. We were there on Thanksgiving week 2012. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade goes right past the hotel. The Palmer House has a great history (Brownies were invented there in 1934), the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable although the bed we had was a little lumpy. A new mattress would make it nicer. I would definitely go back.

The room was small, but that is to be expected in a big city hotel of this size. We were very impressed from the moment we entered our room. It was clean and elegant, and located in a perfect spot to enjoy the city.
