Good things: great location in the city, close to epicentre, pretty view, great lobby staff. Bad things: No fridge in room, no microwave in room, thin walls, loud plumbing, must pay for wifi, i would not recommend this place as a family friendly hotel.

We were visiting Charlotte for a long weekend and found the hotel to be in a great location. It is very close to a multitude of dining options - all kinds of food and price points - as well as within walking distance of museums and sporting attractions. Our hotel room was clean, a bit small, but it served us well. Good quality toiletries and complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. We ordered room service one night (serves until late!) and it was quick and tasty. The hotel's gym is actually the YMCA located in the adjoining Wells Fargo building. It was a great facility but it was unfortunate that it is closed on Sunday. In fact, be aware if you stay downtown over the weekend a lot of restaurants/businesses are closed as they mainly cater to the 9-5 business crowd. That includes the car rental place within the hotel. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Great staff; would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hilton Charlotte City Center overnight while in town for the Delbert McClinton concert. The hotel was really icing on the very good cake that was our weekend. When you're overnighting somewhere, the hotel experience can make or break your short stay. The Hilton experience was outstanding. From the time we checked in, to the time we left, every occasion we had to interface with the hotel staff and its services confirmed our choice in hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the executive lounge was well stocked and staffed, the concierge was very accommodating, and the room as spacious and comfortable. We took the hotel car to NoDa. It was a short ride with a very friendly driver. The immediate area around the hotel is packed with restaurants, and really good nightlife is just a short cab ride away. Will definitely consider staying there again!
