02/10/2012Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. i liked having a 24 hour restaurant beside this facility. location at the edge of chattanooga was great.

The Days Inn in Chattanooga needs some desperate upgrading. Paint is peeling off the outer walls, the walkways needed cleaned, and the computer system needs upgraded. It took longer than needed to find our reservation due to the computer freezing up and not responding. Our room was too small to be considered a double room, we found ourselves tripping over each other.

As far as the hotel is concerned, the room was average, although the blower motor in the air conditioner was very loud (sounded like a bearing going bad). The front desk staff was excellent, very helpful. There is a cafe (restaurant) attached to the hotel that was superb. The portions are so large, most people won't finish. That's a shame because the deserts looked so good. Prices were very reasonable. Back to the hotel. Please remember, it's a Days Inn, not The Ritz. For anyone on a budget, it's a good deal. I didn't book there to be impressed, but was satisfied - I got what I paid for.

The place isn't anything fancy at all - more motel than hotel - but location was good and staff were friendly. We could walk to the Aquarium and there is a decent 24-hour diner attached to the lobby. It serves huge portions.
