Our room was along Bay St. the road noise was terrible. Trucks running through town all night. We could even hear the voice on the crosswalk. It's a nice hotel, but could use some upgrades. Staff was friendly and a fair amount of food provided for breakfast. But, the day they had scrambled eggs, we think they were powdered. For the price of the room plus a parking fee, makes me think there are better places to stay in the Historic District.

At the suggestion of a family member who recently visited Savannah, I wanted to book a hotel room close to the river. I am so glad that I did. This hotel was in a GREAT location, close to the river shops, bars, and restaurants. They also have free breakfast in the morning. The room was large, had a flat screen TV, and was very clean. The only thing lacking in this hotel was a restaurant with room service and a more welcoming bar (they have a small bar in the lobby that would accomodate about 10 people). They also have a parking garage, but it does cost $9/night. The location was so great that you could go just about anywhere walking. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

During our stay we enjoyed the fact that we were in the historic district of Savannah. The facility is very well taken care of. And the employees were very welcoming and helpful with all the questions about the area that we had. The noise level was surprisingly low even with a bus full of high school students just down the hall. Parking was not an issue since the hotel had it's own parking garage and in downtown Savannah that can be a challenge. The quality for the price was excellent. We will be back!!

The Inn at Ellis Square was very convenient to most tourist attractions and within walking distance to City Market, River Street and The Lady and Sons. I booked the trip for me and a friend and she just kept saying ""you did good"". The hotel was very nice, we had our own back entrance and only had to go thru the lobby when we wanted. The breakfast that was sreved every morning was more than your ordinary continental breakfast. We had scrambled eggs and sausage also you could prepare your own waffles and there were the usual cold cereal, fruit, toast. On our last day our flight was not until 4PM and there was a room in the lobby where they locked up our luggage until we needed it, leaving us free to take one more stroll down to River Street and have a glass of sweet tea. I would definetly stay there again and look forward to going back to beautiful Savannah.

We stayed two nights and loved it. We stayed in a King suite and it had lots of room and was very clean. The complimentry breakfast was awesome! The breakfast staff could have been more friendly, but the rest of the staff was great and very helpful. The hotel is very close to everything. What you can't walk to, Hop on a trolley. There is a parking garage next to the hotel. It was worth the extra charge not to have to search for a parking spot! There was a lot of construction going on in the city but you could not hear any of it inside the hotel room. The Girl Scouts were also there. They were very well behaved.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and We will stay here again!
