I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was right in the middle of things and we could walk to many of the places we wished to visit. It was quiet and the staff we very helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. The swimming pool was not located in the best area and was more open that I would have liked but we had very little time to spend at it as we wanted to see Savannah. I liked that we could walk to River Street where all the shops, etc. were and could pick up transportation there too.

This has been an annual stop for my wife and myself. This time we stayed in the king size suite. This is a first class accomodation. The rooms are large and with a flat screen tv in each room, it makes it nice if you want to watch something different that your mate. With the economy down, I saw no cutting of corners by the hotel. The staff has alwasy been very helpful and the breakfast is wonderful. The location of the Inn is within walking distance to everything you will want to see. We are planning a return trip already.

We spent two nights in a King bed room and were very satisfied. We were skeptical after reading one very negative review, but we had nothing to complain about. The breakfast area was convenient, although the second day we had to share the space with a tour bus and had no table to sit at. The personnel staff was more than helpful, and pleasant, especially the woman in the breakfast room and the people at the front desk. We had no working wifi in the room, but the problem was fixed in a timely manner. Also there was a small problem with reservations that day, but the front desk handled it more than satisfactorily.

Do not be fooled by the photos or the location. I have stayed in dorm rooms that have had cleaner carpets, cleaner walls and cleaner doors. The carpet was so nasty I would not walk on it barefoot. Even the desk blotter was sticky. The details beyond the lobby have been ignored. From the elevator on you will only be satisfied if your requirements are a plasma TV. All the room furniture was scratched, the hotel controls the thermostat (nothing below 70 allowed), the water screeched its way out of the showerhead that was detached from the wall and offered no water pressure. Pieces of loose grout lined the tub / shower. The staff never smiled or made eye contact. After 25 years of traveling for business this is the first time I have ever written a review - a warning - to stay away from an establishment. I spent one night (April, 2009) in room 240 - a King Suite - and will never return.
