I went here with just my wife and we had a wonderful experience there. The room was nice and the complimentary breakfast was worth getting up for. The only thing was that when we went in the summer the pool was packed the entire time and the spa was packed with people who were very rude. They would eat and smoke will in the spa. But the hotel was great and the little restraunt was nice. Close to all the neccesities and easy to find.

05/05/2012Room was clean, renovated bathroom, and new furniture. staff was accommodating. standard room was 1 king w/sofabed, so stipulate ahead if you need 2 beds. pool/hot tub area ...
Room was clean, renovated bathroom, and new furniture. Staff was accommodating. Standard room was 1 king w/sofabed, so stipulate ahead if you need 2 beds. Pool/hot tub area was nice but crowded on the weekend. Its an old school motel but you can't get a better deal. You can walk up the hill to Hillcrest in 15 minutes (2 minutes by car). 15 minutes to PB/OB. 20 to La Jolla. 15 to airport. Little restaurant on property had very good breakfast. I'd stay here again.

Good place for the money, perfectly located between the Zoo & sea world. My wife, my 2year old and my self felt good. The beds are a little too soft. But i would visit again... Oh, yea! The free shuttle service to the Zoo/sea world is VERY convenient... More people should take advantage of that..
