Maybe it wasn't the hotel's fault, but it is RIGHT next to the IH-35 lower-level in Austin. I stopped counting ambulances/fire-trucks after the fourth one went by. That, the idiots on sports-bikes gunning it right by the hotel, the loud semi-trucks...it was a nightmare. The hotel is cheap(er), but it still wasn't worth it. I didn't sleep worth a flip. Do yourself a favor...get a hotel FAR AWAY from IH-35.

This hotel served its purpose for my visit, it was fairly close to the place I was going to and had a great service. Only to bad thinks were the temperature in the room, for some reason they seted it at 50F and the closeness to I-35

In general i have had always bad experiences with days inn, wich i'll never use again. despite the service is good surroundings were dirty and very dusty, messy, and it seems to be that the owner does not invest money on their hotel. the apples & bananas were rotten. the hotel is in I 35 & you hear the cars the whole night, the sirens of ambulances because the hospital is one block from there. the area is uggly and i asked for good food around and they send me to a taqueria that the food was rotten too. also the room was stinky. in general i won;t use this hotel again. seeds, the restaurant just there was excellent and very good service and are very friendly.

01/12/2012Its super close to the university and downtown austin. all in all good value for such a cheap hotel stay. will stay again if in austin again.
