The proximity of this hotel to the beach and marketplace made it a very desirable place to be. The hotel was clean and sparkly, i always felt comfortable. The staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!

I booked 7 days this hotel because of the great reviews here on Trip Advisor and let me tell ya, they were right on the mark. Apon arriving at the Wave I was greeted by the happiest and friendliest front desk person named Miko. She explained there were 3 plces to park our rental car. They have a smaller parking garage and a deal with a parking Company next door that puts your car on a shelf (no kidding see pics) and with the Waikiki Trade Center only 1 block away. Never had a problem finding a spot in the garage or the Parking shelf place. After check in we went to our room and were pleasantly surprised. Nice huge, very clean, corner room (1505) with 2 balconies. 1 on the side of the building with a partial ocean view and overlooking the International Marketplace, and 1 on the front that faced Kuhio, the canal and the mountains. Cleanliness is obviously a priorty here. Our room attendents name was Marilyn and she was without a doubt, the hardest working, best housekeeper I have ever seen in my life and I have stayed in hundreds of hotel/motels. Other that our things in the room, our room looked like it was ready for the next guest everyday. I wear white socks and I could walk around in the room all day and the bottoms were just as clean as when I put them on. How many Hotels can you say that about? Our room had a free safe, small refridgerator, microwave and a coffee pot with coffee. The beds were extreemly comfortable with very nice linens and pillows. Both balconies had 2 chairs and a table each. There was a table and 2 chairs in the room also if you want to take your meal back to the room. The employees at the Wave must love their job, because I was treated like their favorite Uncle. Again, How many Hotels can you say that about? The location is perfect with the International Marketplace and food court right behind(less than 1 minute walk), Waikiki beach is about a 5 minutes walk. Right across the street is the Seaside Bar & Grill and they have a $3.95 breakfast special. Ate there 3 times. There is a Chinessee restaurant just off the lobby, but we did not eat there. They have a party in the lobby on Wed and had a live musician and FREE cocktails. HERE IS SOME HELPFUL INFO.... finding where to park to check in is a bit of a bugger but here is what you need to know (wish I knew this info when we arrived). We flew in and rented a car by the airport. As your driving down Kuhio you will see the Hotel on the right side, Turn into the "alley" that runs right beside the Wave, go all the way to the back and do a right hand u-turn into their parking garage. I am a very light sleeper and I was never woke up by any noise. Parking was never a problem. The friendliest staff. Good food within a 2-3 minute walk from here. So the big question...... Would we stay here again?? YOU BET I WILL.

At the t Wave I had a pleasant time. The desk staff were great. It was a very welcoming welcome, they greeted me as I came in with a refreshing cup of tropical water. Took my bags because my rooms was not ready and offered a place to change while my room was getting prepared. However I don't recommened the next door parking if you're going to be driving in and out all day. I felt that the Wave desk staff was pushing it on me to save a couple of dollars. They need to be more knowledgable of the bext door parking becuase you don't park your car it is stored and you can only take your car out twice a day & be back a certain time. I'd rather spend the couple of bucks to go and come as I please. Overall I liked the hotel and would stay again.

No extras though - expect to pay for computer use and printing downstairs. Gym facilities are small and not too great to workout. No laundry facilities or pool. Overall, the hotel is decent for the money, but I wouldn't go back because I prefer Courtyard Marriott over these accommodations.
