It all depends what you are looking for. Personally, I needed a hotel to change, sleep and shower. Also to be clean and in a good location. If you're in Hawaii and spending all or most of your time at a resort, than you have a problem. The place was clean, centrally located and the staff was friendly. I recommend.

Even though the hotel has been renovated since we last stayed in it, these are still very average accomodations. Elevators, when working, were extremely slow. If you cannot afford accomodations on Waikiki, this hotel is conveniently located about a block off the beach and right next to the International Marketplace. Should have expected it I guess, but the parking fee caught us somewhat by surprise - cost more to park a rental car than it does to operate it (and we went all over the island). If you aren't looking for much other than a place to shower/sleep this is okay.

Pros: Has a microwave, coffee maker, safe and mini fridge. The hotel sits right behind the International Marketplace, also has a store inside the hotel and one right outside the door. There is also massage therapists there. I had a kink in my neck and went twice, affordable massages and convenient. Cons: It is a little loud especially on Friday and Saturday nights. They did warn us of this. Honestly by the time we got done doing whatever we did during the day we were so tired it didn't even phase us. The TV is a little small compared to some places, but when your on vacation you usually don't spend your time watching TV. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel and the staff. The maid we had was great, the desk and bell service was great. My family and I would stay there again anytime! My 75 year old grandma was with me and she loved it!

I have stayed at the aqua wave numerous times and enjoyed it! service and rooms are awesome. you feel welcomed from the time you walk into the sliding doors til you leave. every room i've stayed in has a microwave, coffee pot and fridge!!

Walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shopping. At times we could hear the parking garage operating at night and during the weekend could hear some parting going on in the streets but it was never enough to disturbed us. Staff was very courteous and we would stay again for the price.
