Great value for money
03/06/2013Hotel is currently undergoing renovations in lobby, hence why i think the price is down. great location, clean and nice rooms. very spacious for nyc hotel.

we were pleased with our stay. great midtown location, subway is about 100 yards from the hotel. many and a great variety of restaurants are within blocks. the bath room needs upgrade as the wall paper was peeling in spots.

Won't stay here again - are too many other places to stay for the same money

We had 5 people in the room and made the reservation as such. When we arrived we were told that they don't allow 5 in a room. I stated that the reason we booked this hotel was because it WAS an option. The desk clerk was not going to make any accommodation - until I puled out my confirmation showing that there were 5 people in the room. She then said that well, because one of the people was a child it didn't show up in their system. What kind of system is that - where it automatically deducts the 5th person and doesn't show it? She then grudgingly decided to help us and moved us to a room with a pull-out sofa bed. Since there were five people I called housekeeping and requested additional towels. It took two calls - several hours later to get them. Our room was not cleaned at all after our first night. When we asked about it at 4:30 upon our return to the room, we were told that the cleaning staff had gone for the day. So we requested clean towels. Again, they were not brought. Several hours later when we returned to the room and called again about the towels, we were asked how many we wanted. I said there were 5 of us int the room. A while later they were delivered - 4 only! What is it with towels and this hotel??? Very poor housekeeping department I think.
