This hotel is a Kimpton and a BW, but if you are expecting Kimpton-style furnishings and perks it is a bit of a letdown. For instance, the free wine-tasting was overcrowded with nowhere to sit, and the wine was Charles Shaw (Trader Joe's)" 3-buck Chuck's" finest rather than the good quality wines we have had at other Kimpton's. Our room was small, especially the bathroom, but it was at the back of the hotel and very quiet.

This hotel was better than we expected. It was more a a boutique style hotel then what you would invision a Best Western to be. The complimentary nightly wine was a great touch. I typically to be very judgemental since I do work in the hotel industry. We selcted this hotel because my employee rate was not available at the brand I work for & because of the location. The only down side was the cost of parking. We paid more to park our rental car than what we paid for the car. There were also other hotels in the area that advertized free parking. I would stay at another hotel just for this reason. When all is said and done you are not spending much time in the room or at the hotel, you are really just there to sleep and shower so i wouldn't mind staying at a lower rated hotel just to save money on parking costs.

The hotel was in a good location, the room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Hybrid cars get a parking discount (which we were happy to accept!). The a slight drawback was that the room was somewhat stuffy upon arrival. A larger drawback was that there was no evening restaurant on site and thus no room service. Luckily the local grocery store was within walking distance and had a warm deli service.
