I have friends that live in LA that I try to visit at least once a year. The last of which was Dec. of 2010. I've stayed at this Best Western on my last 3 visits and plan to do so again. The location is a short distance from LAX and a very convenient location for visiting my friends and enjoying the Southern CA atmosphere. Only problem I have with the hotel is the wifi connection had firewalls in place during my last visit which made connecting with friends a bit more difficult. Another plus for this hotel is the free parking available in the onsite underground garage. The neighborhood is a bit dated but I have yet to feel unsafe during any of my vacations.

We bolted to this place after being scared to death at the Motel 6 next door....with all the gang guys and hookers hanging out in the lobby. Gorgeous South Asian manager.....and super helpful. Unbelievably cheesy decor.... The "suite" was two queens with a 4x4 space by the window with a desk. Flat screen. Crappy tub and shower. We were on a college visit, my nephew and I. Next day....I had bedbugs....and he had head lice. Awesome.

We chose to stay here because it was close to the airport (2 miles). The hotel has free covered parking. The lobby and check in area is nice. The check in and check out process was correct and quick. The breakfast area is very small, but offered a good selection of hot & cold food items. The room was spacious with 2 queen beds, sitting area, microwave & mini refrigerator -- which is great traveling with kids. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. There was a pool area on the 2nd floor. The hot tub looked like it had not been working for awhile. They advertised free in-room internet, but after much trying & assistance from the staff, we never got it to work. The hotel is about a 45 - 60 minute drive from Disney depending on traffic. Hotel has printed directions to many local attractions. Returning our rental vehicle and getting to our flight on time was really easy from this hotel. We would stay here again.
