PROS * They let us check in early, although they made sure that we realized it was a favor. * The restaurant in the hotel has a $4 breakfast that is pretty decent. * The hotel is situated right next the expressway. * There was a small fridge/sink in the room. * They provided a wire for the wired internet. * The pool seemed nice, although we didn't use it. CONS * The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. * The pillows were lumpy (I went to Target to buy my own). * The air conditioning was out of order (for an unknown period of time). * The fridge in the room was from the 1960s. * It was very difficult to turn on the shower. * I tried calling the front desk twice from the room phone and NO ONE picked up. * The wired internet worked for ten minutes then would cut out. * The manager was rude to other customers on the phone and in person. * I left my iPOD shuffle there. Called six hours after I left and never received a call back from them.

I'm pretty easy going, so it was more amusing than disturbing to note: 1. The front desk wasn't always staffed. 2. The gift shop was unstaffed. If you wanted something from it, ask the front desk, they give you the key. 3. Slow elevator. 4. Hot tub heater broken. 5. The power went out for an hour. 6. Wi-fi service was ok, as long as you were standing in the right part of the room. 7. Continental breakfast ended early, consisted of a bowl of fruit, container of OJ, and some pastries. 8. Hotel restaurant closed during the week. It had the look of a once-nice hotel that was past its peak. One of the staff said that the hotel was for sale. I believe it. The pool was kept up, and the spa (which attracted me initially) gave a quality massage. You get complimentary pass to Gold's Gym across the street, which was great. The staff was friendly. On the whole, I thought I got average value for my money.
