Stayed here on a family trip. I am not going to mince words here. This place - although it does have several good points like easy parking and a good breakfeast - is basically a dump. The one person servicing the front was very unfriendly. They put us (incl. 2 small kids) next to a group who was partying. The walls are really thin so the noise was quite loud. The room was small, had no view (particularly not a ""City View""), had handicapped equipment which should have been removed for us, and the bathroom was not particularly clean. My wife and I noticed that there were several women hanging around and sitting in the lobby during the evening. She mentioned that they are ""working girls"". This is probably correct but they also could have been vacationers waiting to go to the city. Anyway, the location is not great, on a desolate street across from a cemetary, and we did not feel safe there. This place is completely unsuitalbe for a family - actually do not know who it would be suitable for. I would not stay here again, even if for real cheap...

me and my family had a great time in nyc. shuttle drivers introduced us to the fast lane and fast pace of nyc. open our eyes to life in the big city. shuttle drivers were very friendly at pick up and answered all of or questions about locations of pickups and what to see and what to do. front dest was just as friendly answered all of questions at check in and when we called operators later at night. rooms were clean and kepted up. hotel staff and housekeeper were always smiling. breakfast was very filling. we were almost the first ones down to eat breatfast and everything was ready for the taking. we picked this hotel for the price and the location, if we stayed closer to times square we would have spent * but we used this money to wander all over nyc. if you pick this hotel say hello from the family from texas to all of the staff and mostly to the shuttle drivers. GO TEXAS RANGERS.

  • Great for vacation but not for business Shuttle Bus inefficient

My overall experience with this hotel was good. It is a great place to stay for a visit to NYC. The rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast Buffet is excellent as long as you don't mind eating the same thing every day. The buffet even had cook your own waffles which my son loved. My biggest complaint about hotel is the shuttle service. The shuttle is a minivan which holds 6 passengers (unless you're willing to sit on each others laps). There is only one shuttle which services the airport and the subway station. So if you need the shuttle to pick you up at the subway station and it is currently at the airport, you can expect a 30 minute wait. This was a problem for me because I was in NYC touring colleges with my son. We had appointment times to meet which meant either getting the shuttle extra early or risk it not being there and be late for our appointments. The subway is 2 miles away which is too far for me to walk. Once you get to the subway it is a very easy access to anywhere in NYC you wish to go to. It is a 15 minutes ride to Times Square once you get on the subway. Overall if you don't mind having to wait maybe for a long period of time for the subway this hotel is for you. You can always carry cash for the taxi but that can get expensive very fast. I would stay here again for vacation but not for business.

Stayed 4 nights on a trip to NYC. This is not a luxury hotel, so if thats what your looking for, its not for you. But if you want something decent, clean, affordable and close to downtown NY, this is your place. Room was decent, price was good, staff was friendly. Shuttle service was really convenient......took us right to the subway station, we caught the subway iand in 15-20 mins we were in manhattan or where ever we wanted to go. Breakfast was also good considering it was a free "continental" breakfast. There was eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, juice, fruit, coffee, etc. Saved alot of money compared to eating in downtown NY. All in all a great stay and perfect if you don't want to spend a fortune for a room. We will definitely stay again on our next trip.

If you are going to New York on a budget, this is a good place to stay. It wasn't in the best part of Queens but I didn't feel at risk for harm at all. They do have a shuttle service but it is AWFUL! There is only ONE shuttle and it takes forever to pick you up or drop you off where you need. We waited at the airport for over an hour before the shuttle arrived. The front desk staff is very friendly and very helpful. The contiental breakfast was really good. Not a lot of sitting room but very fresh food. The rooms were a little musty smelling and there were tons of ants in the bathroom. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay for NYC and for the money. If you are wanting something nicer, I would suggest staying in Manhattan.
