Great location right on the beach and courteous staff. Transfer service (C&G) was so reliable and easy to work with. Huge disappoint for the pool to be closed for a great length of time 3 of the 4 days we stayed. Two days was due to special engagements using the pool area. What is the point of researching a hotel if one important aspect is closed?

Quiet location on the beach with a pool and lazy river. The verandah is wonderful to sit and gaze out at the ocean. Needs some furniture replaced.Public restrooms are not cleaned often enough. Bar prices are high but there is a happy hour. Biggest concern is pool was closed at 5:00 two nights for public functions and then a third night starting at 2:00 to be treated for SIX hours! So 3 of the 4 nights we were there the pool was partially closed.

This is the third time we stayed at The Pelican Grande Beach Resort. The first time we stayed was when we got married at the hotel on the beach. The staff at the hotel was excellent especially the valet attendents and the bartenders at the lounge and the pool attendents. All were very professional and made you feel welcome. The hotel was very clean as always. Everything was great. There was only a few changes that we noticed from the 1st time we stayed that we did not care for but we found out it was because of new management.

We visited to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and had a great time. From the minute we were greeted at the door by Alex (and Alex), who rememberd us from last year, to the day we left...everyone was pleasant and attentive. We had a ocean-front suite and the view was fabulous...saw turtles coming to lay eggs, sting-rays, and a pod of dolphin. Yes, it's a little pricy, but so is everything in the area.

We stayed for 4 days during our kids' spring break. To start, the lock in our door didn't work and the engineer had to be called to recode the card reader/lock. This was before we even entered the room on the first day. Then we went to the restaurant for lunch and it took FOREVER to get our meals. The hotel ran out of beach towels at about noon on Monday. The beach is staffed with one server for the entire beach, so you have to wait until the server/wait staff gets to you. When we finally got to order lunch the server told us they were out of a lot of their entrees and drinks #i.e. no chicken strips for the kids and no pina coloda for parents, among many other things#. She said she was embarrassed to even be taking orders. The Ladies room in the hotel lobby was trashed when I took my girls to it. The trash can was overflowing and there was paper towels all over the floor. The bathrooms at the pool were always out of toilet paper. Some of the staff was very friendly but I found the bar staff not friendly at all. I spoke with a woman at the pool who had to wait over 24 hours before the toilet in her room was fixed. She had to use the lobby restrooms. Beautiful hotel, but overall, not worth the money.
