Front desk was very friendly and helpful. X, consierge was the best in helping me around Chicago. I was there on business and it felt like vacation. Rooms were clean and beautiful view. Room service was the fastest I have ever experienced from any hotel. Definately will reccomend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel was nice. Only be aware of unexpected ""extras"" like paying $51/night to park and $10/day for internet access. The elevators were also extremely small. But it was a very nice hotel overall, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We got to the hotel rather late in the day, around 9:00pm. We did have to circle the hotel a couple times to find the valet parking, but once we pulled in, they were very helpful. The hotel desk was on the second floor and not clearly marked, so we had to ask someone. We booked two rooms and requested they be on the same floor. They accommodated our request with no problem and even upgraded one of the rooms for no charge. Once we got to our room, though, there were no towels in the bathroom. We called down to have housekeeping bring some up and informed them we had three people staying in out room. They only brought two sets of towels, so they had to go back and get more for us. They were quick, though, bringing them and very apologetic. The room was beautiful. The beds were wonderful as was the shower. Overall, the stay was very nice. I would stay at this hotel again.

We spent four days in Chicago between Christmas and New Years at the Allerton Hotel. While our room was rather small and right in front of the elevator, we can't complain given the great deal we got. We were originally unhappy that there was no coffee maker in the room, but soon found the 2nd floor complimentary coffee in the morning to be a fun routine and gathering spot for guests. The complimentary hot chocolate in the evening was a real treat. We had worred about reviews that the elevators were small, but what does it really matter if they get you where you need to go??? The room was always clean upon our return from shopping and siteseeing, tons of which were just around the corner. A hot tub would have been nice for this romantic holiday, but the shower proved to be a worthy substitute!
